Although it’s seemingly a picture of himself getting his make up done, the backdrop is of Gun changing his shirt, showing his chocolate abs in the process.

X-5 talks about the importance of gaining experience

On January 9th, X-5 sat down for an interview to talk about their reflections on working with labelmate senior Jun Jin at the ‘Open World Festival in Tokyo‘ last year.

Leader Gun said, “There’s a reason why Shinhwa is considered legendary. They have enough stage experience to catch exactly what the crowd wants. Watching over them was like watching their history and experience.”

Zin continued, “While performing with Jun Jin and The Boss, we realized what a difference experience can make. They freely enjoyed the stage and the concert with their fans, which was something we still had to learn.”

The festival was a meaningful one in that it marked Jun Jin’s return from the army; it was also the first collaboration stage between The Boss and X-5.

Gun stated, “This was only our first concert together, so we hope that it will become a concert that can be long-lasting and well-loved in Japan. Our dream is to perform at the Tokyo Dome together.”

It has been revealed that although Big Bang’s G-Dragon has a cast on his leg, it’s not a major injury. On May 16th, a YG Entertainment representative said, “G-Dragon slightly sprained his leg during the c

oncert. It is not a big injury. He is only wearing the half-cast during performances in case the injury might worsen while moving around. It is okay now. There is no need to worry”.

G-Dragon’s injury was made known by a tweet from MBC’s “Infinity Challenge” producer Kim Tae Ho. He tweeted about Big Bang’s Japanese concert, saying, “GD had a light cast on his right foot.”

While that tweet was made in response to a Big Bang fan, his response quickly informed netizens of G-Dragon’s injury.

Big Bang is currently on their “Love & Hope Tour” in Japan, hitting up Osaka, Nagoya, and Chiba.

Selling out their first solo concert at scary speed, BEAST, who had made their spot as the strong forces in KPOP is returning with an official first album. Not just in Korea, but this is the comeback album that fans all over Asia have been waiting for. [Fiction and Fact]

The album intro song ‘The Fact’ is the song that leads a smooth introduction to the main track ‘Fiction’ and the deep emotions can be sensed from the song. Like the title many people don’t want to accept ‘The Fact’ of their breakup, the album moves straight into ‘Fiction’. ‘Fiction’ is different from the strong beat and sound that BEAST originally has and it is the type of a song with a focus on the melody and lyrics. The lyrics express the wanting to write a novel in order to display hardships as one faces realizing the pain of a breakup. This is heightened with an addictive piano reef making the song a sad story. Also, in order to express the overwhelming emotions of the song ‘Fiction’, BEAST had also included an orchestra version of the song.
The song ‘Back to You’ with an attractive rising melody is expected to receive a lot of love from the fans. Other the luxurious performance songs on the album, the pop ballad song ‘Calling You’ show off the colors of the member’s voices , ‘On the Day Rain Falls’ was actually recorded on a raining day so that the members can full express their young emotions, the song ‘You’ is fully of happiness. The song ‘Virus’ that encompasses Electronic Dubstep and Black R&B make the album even better to listen too.

In particular, since it is their first official album, many surprises can be found, including the song, ‘Freeze’ which has been written, composed, and edited my Yong Junhyung as a special gift to the fans. Also the ‘Lightless’ Unplugged version that had received hotly response from the fans had also been in included in the album adding even more value to it.

In an interview with Sports Chosun, X-5’s Haewon revealed that he’s fluent in three foreign languages.

Born in 1991, he boasts a tall height of 186 cm, and has handsome looks to boot. There’s more behind that pretty face, though, as it was discovered that he’s fluent in Russian, English, and Japanese.
Haewon explained, “My father’s a diplomat so I lived in Ukraine from my sixth year of elementary school till my third year of junior high. I can freely speak in Russian and English thanks to the experience. I’ve recently picked up Japanese for our Japanese advancement.”

The other members of X-5 added, “We once had to shoot a video in English for an international media outlet. The rest of us just greeted the camera and left everything else up to Haewon. He’s got a bit of a Russian accent, but he’s still really good.”

Thanks to the attention their debut has been garnering, X-5 was chosen as the ‘power rookie’ of the month for the May edition of SBS’s “Inkigayo” magazine.

In celebration of the feat, the five members took part in a special photoshoot and interview that showed off their charms both individually and as a group. “Inkigayo” commented, “Despite the fact that they have model-like heights and handsome looks, they don’t rely on that at all and opt instead to show their power and charisma through their unique performance style. They’re a ‘poker faced rookie’ that is worthy of attention.”
X-5 showed their determination by adding, “We will work hard to become a group that can stand at the top of the world.”
Readers of the magazine commented, “I overlooked them thinking they were just rookies, so it was nice to be able to get an in-depth view of who they are”, and “They’re worthy of being chosen as power rookies. I’m already looking forward to their future promotions.”

JYJ's Park Yoochun Hospitalized

JYJ’s Park Yoochun (Micky Yoochun) was hospitalized because of acute enteritis.

An individual who is associated with Park Yoo Chun’s agency told Newsen through a phone interview “On April 25^th Park Yoo Chun was complaining about abdominal pain and therefore was taken to the emergency room. He currently has acute enteritis and is hospitalized. He has pushed back his drama filming schedule and is resting.”

The person continued, “Park Yoo Chun is currently filming the MBC drama ‘Ripley.’ We believe his immune system was weakened because of his drama filming and concerts that made him go overseas and back.”

Currrently the plan is to release Park Yoochun after observing his condition. He will rest at home and this coming weekend he will continue filming the drama “Ripley.”

For individuals that do not know much about JYJ, Dong Bang Shin Ki has broken up into two seperate groups. JYJ also recently had legal issues with SM Entertainment, and the court battles ended with SM Entertainment having to pay fines for interference in the past, and also for any interferences in the future.

Block B on Music Core with 'Freeze'

if there is any thing great about this song, its definitely the catchy tune and rapper Zico who's been making headlines for his rapping skills.

but one cant help but point out how similar their styles are to various other artistes. Its been raving how Zico omhps the rapping parts with style - like Beast's Rapper JunHyung (FYI there can only be ONE JunHyung- im a great bias here). Strangely, the 2 main rappers of Block B also reminds me of GD and TOP, no offense to those who are biases of GD and TOP. But its kinda slap in the face for a group managed by ChoPD since he made it open that he thinks GD is a poser. So yea, how ironic. (:

nonetheless i do like the song, its catchy, but i cant bear to see how unoriginal it seems/appears to be. No offense yeap?

though im impressed by the fact that the album is completely produced by Zico and Kyung - for rookies, their pretty good. so i do look forward to more of their works (:

MBLAQ takes over ‘chaku uta’ chart + single jacket covers and tracklist revealed

The powerful, bad boy aura of Korean idol group MBLAQ is quickly enveloping Japan, as G.O, Seung Ho, Lee Joon, Thunder, and Mir prepare to make their mark in one of the world’s largest music industries with their debut on May 4th.

The group is already well on their way to a promising debut. After releasing their title track, “Your Luv“, in ‘chaku uta’ form on April 19th, MBLAQ propelled themselves to the #1 spot in just a few hours.

Their coupling tracks, “Into the light” and “Daijoubu“, have also been released in ‘chaku uta’ form.

“Your Luv” will be released in 3 different versions: ‘A-type’, ‘B-type’, and ‘C-type’.

How Do Idol Group Members Get Paid?
With the plethora of idol groups out there on the scene, one can't help but wonder: how much money do these "kids" make? Sure they gain popularity through their respective groups, but it's a known fact that each and every member isn't given the same amount of attention and gigs. And let's say we focus on just one group member. Do they get to keep the money that they themselves worked for? Or do they have to split it among their other group members?

Let's use Nickhun of 2PM as an example. He shoots an ice cream commercial here in Korea, followed by a beverage commercial shoot over in Thailand. Then he returns to Korea and does some appearances on variety shows, only to then star in a TV drama. Out of all those jobs, what will Nickhun be able to keep as pay? Well, the ice cream commercial in Korea will be equally divided among the five other 2PM members. However, Nickhun will be able to keep all of the pay from the Thailand commercial shoot. Variety program appearances also get divvied up among the others, though the drama pay will be pocketed by Nickhun entirely. This is according to the initial contracted agreement among the six members and JYP Entertainment. Nickhun must split everything with the exception of drama roles and jobs in his homeland, Thailand. Six members may seem like a lot, but what about some of the other idol groups out there with 9 members? 10? 13? The matter of pay presents a very complicated situation.

JYP along with CUBE Entertainment follow the equal pay distribution system. The explanation from a JYP official: "If a member gets some individual work, it's because he's ultimately a member of the respective idol group." Therefore, the pay should be equally divided among the people who make the group possible; all of the people. These days, Lee Gi-gwang of BEAST and Hyuna of 4minute get more solo gigs than their other members, yet their pay is still shared among all of them.

However, there are more entertainment agencies that follow another system. The system of taking home what you yourself earned. For example, SM Entertainment, which is known to multi-task its entertainers. Some of its popular groups feature one or two members that are more popular than the rest. Prime examples being Yoona or Taeyeon of Girls Generation or Kim Hee-chul or Lee-teuk of Super Junior. One entertainment official even divulged, "Because the difference in pay between the highest paid Super Junior member and the lowest paid Super Junior member is so big, their vibe [together] is a bit weird."

In the case of Pledis Entertainment, the name behind After School which features UEE and Park Gahi or Core Contents Media which backs T-ara, the group boasting Eun-jung and Ji-yeon, each member also keeps what they earn. However, whenever the stars feature on variety programs, Core Contents Media gets to keep the entire pay. The company sees this as justified because appearances on variety programs are to promote the group's album anyway. Also, the pay per episode isn't even that much so it's not like the girls are taking that big of a hit.

So which way is the "better" system? One entertainment insider explained, "Whether you do it this way or that way, there's bound to be complaints. In the case of splitting the pay, members with more active schedules have the most complaints. As for systems where each member gets to keep their own pay, the less popular members [with less work] has the most complaints. There's a reason behind the fact that idol groups form easily and break up easily."

On April 20, rookie group X-5 successfully debuted through their showcase at Gangnam-Apgujeong, Seoul. Their first single XENOS is named after the group themselves.

The X in X-5 stands for Xenos, which means a foreigner in Greek. Fittingly, all the members come from a different region or state.

Brown Eyed Girls to make their comeback in June

It’s been almost two years since the Brown Eyed Girls released their hit tracks,”Abracadabra” and “Sign“, and their fans are becoming impatient for news on their comeback.

Addressing the requests for updates, Nega Network replied, “The girls are working heavily on their album preparations at the moment. The earliest they’ll be making their comeback is around the end of June.”

Although they’ve had a long hiatus, the members have been busy with individual activities, like withGa-In’s solo as well as her small screen activities with “We Got Married” and “All My Love.” Narshaalso made a solo debut, while Jea and Miryo have been busy with photoshoots and track productions.

Nega Network continued, “It’s taking longer than we thought for their album. We’ve recorded over 15 tracks, but none of them came out the way we wanted them to, so we trashed everything. Even if their next album is delayed a bit, we’d rather fill it with tracks we’re satisfied with.”

They added, “It won’t be easy to overtake the fame of ‘Abracadabra’, but the members are determined to do better. We had no option but to give up everything they’ve recorded up to this point.”

SS501’s Heo Young Saeng postpones solo debut due to an injury

SS501′s Heo Young Saeng was originally scheduled to make his solo debut on April 28th, but plans have been pushed back after he sustained an injury during rehearsals.

B2M Entertainment reported, “Heo Young Saeng was practicing his choreography in the training room on the night of the 19th. He injured the back of his hand and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Test results showed that his hand has a ruptured ligament (desmorrhexis) and a fracture that will take five weeks to heal. He’s currently hospitalized and is awaiting further results.”

Due to the sudden injury, all of the schedules for his solo promotions have been postponed.

His representative added, “Mentally, Heo Young Saeng is extremely upset over the fact that he must push back on his promise with his fans. He’s determined to push forward with a cast if it’s possible, so we’ll be discussing release dates as soon as he is discharged.”

CNBLUE to thank fans with a special album, “First Step +1″

On April 26th, CNBLUE will be releasing a special present for their fans in the form of an album titled “First Step +1 “!

This album is being released as an expression of gratitude for the fans who showed them such explosive love for their first official album. A total of four tracks – “Love Girl“, “Try Again Smile Again“, “Yes“, and “Goodbye” – will be included.

Since it is a present, the members wanted to add their personal touch to the album by producing the tracks themselves. “Love Girl” was re-arranged, and other songs include co-writing by the members of the band. The album is also unique in that it will be produced in the form of a diary for fans to record daily thoughts and memos into; it’ll also include extra everyday photos of CNBLUE.

FNC Music stated,

“Since the boys have received so much love to the point of earning double and triple crowns, we have decided to produce a new album as a way of saying thanks to our fans. With three tracks that were originally only released in Japan and plenty of photos of the members, we hope that it will become a great present for our fans.”

The music video teaser for the band’s follow-up track, “Love Girl”, will be released on April 22nd.

CNBLUE talks about stereotypes and their friendship on Mnet’s “M SoundPlex”

CNBLUE recently guested on Mnet’s “M SoundPlex” and shared their thoughts on the various stereotype rumors they’ve had to deal with as idols since their debut.

The band was first revealed to the public as a talented, all-around idol band that was capable of writing, composing, and live performances. Unfortunately, with the group being tagged with ‘idol’, the public took it to mean that they were just kids taken from wealthy families that pretended to know how to compose songs and play instruments.

Calmly, the members explained, “We know that there are a lot of misunderstandings regarding our image. However, 10 out of our album’s 12 tracks were self-composed, but the public isn’t usually aware of that. The members also play instruments on stage 100% live. People are quick to say that we’ve never gone through any hardships, but that’s not the case at all. We’re actually glad that they think like that.”

The conversation was then carried over to the topic of Yonghwa’s popularity. Contrary to what the public thought, the members revealed that they were not jealous at all. “Yonghwa hyung suffers so much to get our name better known with the public. We’re always apologetic for that and think to ourselves that we have to work that much harder too.”

They continued,

“Because we feel sorry for Yonghwa hyung having to go through so much schedules, we’ll usually all wait up for him in the dorm instead of sleeping. If we can’t stay up because it gets too late, we always leave a text message saying, ‘Sorry hyung. We’re sleeping first!!’”

With a laugh, they added, “Sometimes Yonghwa hyung will bring us delicious snacks at night.”

After having revealed every member of their upcoming boy group, Open World revamped X-5's website with a new full group picture and an audio teaser to their debut song.

X-5 stands for Xenos 5. The rookie male group "B1A4" that was revealed through the manhwa, "5 Conversations", became a hot topic and are called "ManJjij-Dol" (Idols that seems to be taken out from a manhwa).

On April 10th, the company released 2 pictures of the first member, Jinyoung, through B1A4's official homepage; the other members are going to get revealed in order.

As soon as they heard that the members they saw on the manhwa were going to be released, the fans' interest went up and gave a hot response.

Jinyoung, who got revealed first, attracted the attention with his looks - a mix between Yoon Shiyoon and Lee Joonki. He attracted attention, wearing a black hood with his bright eyes and his soft smile.

The company introduced him saying "Jinyoung is the leader of the team. He studied composition, singing, and even acting since he was young, it's a prepared rookie with versatile talents and who received a training for several years. On April 15th, celebrity soccer team ‘FC Men‘ went against their rivals, the ‘Super Stars‘, at the “2011 Peace Star Cup Celebrity Soccer Championships” and took home a victory with a final score of 1:0.

Although it was FC Men’s first year playing in the championships, they sped to the top thanks to the direction of team captain Kim Junsu of JYJ, who was also chosen as an MVP at the game thanks to his performance as the team’s leader and striker.

After winning the award, Junsu stated, “It’s our first match, and I’m glad that we’ve won it. I’m happiest about the fact that none of our players got hurt. I hope to continue competing against other teams without any injuries.”

He continued,
“Although our team promotes good fellowship, we’re also very competitive when it comes to choosing key players. Even though I’m the leader, if I get eliminated, I have to leave the team.”

After introducing maknae Sulhu earlier this week, Open World Entertainment’s new boy band, ‘X-5‘, has revealed the rest of the members!

Profiles for Zin and Tae Fung were uploaded onto X-5’s official homepage and Me2day accounts. Zin’s profile revealed that he was just as tall as the group’s maknae, standing at a height of 189 cm. He’s only 17 years old, but he reportedly carries an air of maturity that stands out from his peers.
Tae Fung is a soccer enthusiast who’s determined to become a new force in the music industry, just like his name (‘Typhoon’). Open World also emphasized his masculinity by adding that he was “all man.”

The identities of its final two members, leader Gun and Haewon.
On April 13th, Open World Entertainment revealed their profile pictures, which showcased their individual charms. Gun’s strong appearance stands out while Haewon’s androgynous looks are emphasized.
A representative from the agency stated, “Gun put forward his sharp image and emphasized his kindness by revealing that he places the most importance on trust and warmth. Haewon is responsible for sensibility in X-5, and has therefore has established his own unique world. He likes old pop as well as playing the piano.”
He continued, “All five members of X-5 are 180cm and they’re currently working hard for their debut performance.”
X-5 will officially start their activities by holding a showcase on April 20th.

North Korea May be Plotting New Strikes, U.S. General Says

The commander of U.S. troops in South Korea on Wednesday said North Korea could be plotting to carry out new hostilities, Reuters reported.

"I do worry that there are additional attacks and provocations that are being considered within North Korea," Gen. Walter Sharp said at a Capitol Hill hearing.

Pyongyang is believed to be behind the March 2010 sinking of a South Korean warship and the November shelling of the South's Yeongpyong Island. The two incidents killed 50 people.

International observers believe the transfer of power in Pyongyang could lead to new attacks as part of dictator Kim Jong Il's effort to bolster the domestic status of his youngest son and heir apparent, Kim Jong Un.

"There are some real challenges from North Korea that we need to be prepared to deter, and if deterrence does not work, be prepared to respond to," Sharp said, without specifying what type of response would be in order.

The United States has sought to deter new provocations by holding more joint military maneuvers with South Korea and by pressing China to rein in North Korea (Phil Stewart, Reuters, April 6).

Sharp voiced doubts that Pyongyang would ever agree to permanently shutter its nuclear weapons program, the Yonhap News Agency reported.

"I can talk for the Republic of Korea and our alliance there, is that we do believe that North Korea is continuing to develop their nuclear weapons," the general said. "Kim Jong Il has said that. He has said the importance of that to him, that his plan is to continue to do that. I do not believe that he will give that up."

The Stalinist state's reliance on its nuclear program is viewed as having deepened following a NATO-led air campaign against Libyan regime forces. Pyongyang is thought to believe that strongman Muammar Qadhafi erred in surrendering his nuclear weapons program assets in 2004, leaving him vulnerable to the alliance campaign this year.

"I think Kim Jong Il focuses on regime survival under any terms and counts on his continued development of nuclear capability and these provocative acts in order to be able to have his regime survive," Sharp said (Hwang Doo-hyong, Yonhap News Agency, April 6).

Meanwhile, North Korea's Supreme People's Assembly convened on Thursday as foreign observers watched to see if the younger Kim would be officially named to the government's second most-powerful post, the Associated Press reported.

The son, who is in his 20s, was named a four-star general last year. If he is named vice chairman of the all-powerful National Defense Commission, it would mean the transfer of significant authority from his father, who is the commission's chairman, Dongguk University professor Kim Yong-hyun said.

"For Kim Jong Il, handing over a considerable amount of power to his son could mean a weakening of his own power base," Kim said.

Kim Jong Un is also expected to be named chief commander of North Korea's army in addition to receiving two important additional positions within the North Korean Workers' Party, said Open Radio for North Korea's Ha Tae-keung.

"At that point, the succession movement will pretty much be done," Ha said.

The Dongguk University academic predicted Pyongyang would look in the coming months to improve relations with Washington and Seoul.

"More tension would be a burden for North Korea," Kim said. "It will opt for dialogue rather than confrontation and initiate flexibility" (Hyung-Jin Kim, Associated Press I/Yahoo!News, April 7).

Separately, former President Carter said on Wednesday he intends to use his forthcoming visit to Pyongyang to attempt to relaunch moribund six-party talks focused on North Korean denuclearization, AP reported.

The last round of talks involving China, Japan, Russia, the United States and both Koreas was held in December 2008. Pyongyang later called the effort dead and in May 2009 conducted its second nuclear test; it has more recently indicated its willingness to rejoin the process.

Carter did not say when he would travel to the North. Earlier reports said the trip would occur at the end of April.

The ex-president said he would "try to induce the North Koreans to give up their nuclear weapons."

"What we want is a peace treaty and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, and to find out about how we can help with the humanitarian plight of the people who are starving to death," Carter said to an Atlanta audience

Actor (lol) and SS501 member Kim Hyunjoong will also be releasing his solo debut album this year. He is the fourth SS501 this year to be releasing a solo album. He follows Park Jungmin ("The, Park Jungmin"),Kim Hyungjoon ("Girl"), and Heo Youngsaeng ("Let It Go"). Kim Kyujong is the only SS501 member to have not announced an album release so far, and he will be focusing on his acting instead.

Kim Hyunjoong's solo album will be released in June and he will make his official debut as a solo singer. A representative from his agency, Key East, said to Newsen in an interview on April 8th, "A variety of songs have been selected and he will soon go into recording."

Some S Korean schools close amid radioactive rain scare

The radioactive rain scare sweeping South Korea has caused the closing of some elementary schools on Thursday following a storm of requests from parents anxious about their children's health.

Fears have grown sharply as rumors of radioactive rain circulated the Internet after weather agencies in Norway and Germany, respectively, warned earlier this week that radioactive particles from the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan could reach the Korean peninsula in a few days.

School boards across the country advised principals to use their discretion in suspending outdoor activities or even closing school to allay mounting uneasiness among parents.

The Baeyang Elementary School in Gyeonggi province outlying the capital Seoul was one of a number of schools that chose to shut for the day.

The principal told Xinhua that he received a few calls from parents asking about the closing of school and decided to shut school for the day to ease their worries.

The country's nuclear safety agency said minuscule traces of iodine and cesium were reported in the rain falling on the island of Jeju off the country's south coast but the amount was not enough to cause public health concern.

Meanwhile, the Korea Meteorological Administration played down the prospect of direct radiation fallout from the crippled nuclear plant in Japan.

"The Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety announced that a small level of radioactive particles were detected in rainwater on Jeju Island, but we believe that they are not from Fukushima," the weather agency's spokesman Kim Seung-bae said in a briefing.

He said that air current analysis shows that the winds blowing from Japan will circle clockwise and fade out towards the Pacific Ocean by Friday, leaving the Korean peninsula unaffected.

However, public concerns over radioactive rain remained high. "I did not want to go out today because I did not trust what the national weather agency said, but since I had to leave home, I prepared myself as much as possible such as wearing a waterproof jacket," said Bae Sung-cheol, 27.

There were some who dismissed public fears. "I heard the amount of radioactive particles is small, and some say it is less than the amount of radiation exposed to during an X-ray. So I don' t really worry," said Sung Si-wook, 20.

South Korea also held the first meeting of a ministerial taskforce formed to ensure public health and food safety in the face of possible radiation exposure from the nuclear disaster.

Special task force meetings will be held twice a week presided over by the Prime Minister's Office and attended by ministers of the relevant bodies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

The task force will mainly discuss measures to counter nuclear leaks and ways to enhance the safety of the country's nuclear plants, as well as food imported from Japan.

On April 7th, it was revealed that the members of Big Bang have extended their contracts with their label, YG Entertainment, for another five years!

Representatives from YG revealed, “The Big Bang members, who have been with us for 10 years since their trainee days, are like family members to us. We are thankful that they have put their trust in the label they’ve debuted with once again, but most of all, we are glad that Big Bang will be able to stand before their fans for a longer time.”

They continued, “Discord usually arises between idol groups and their agencies at exactly the five year milestone, when contracts come to an end. The first member of Open World Entertainment’s upcoming group, ‘X-5′, has been revealed through their official homepage!

Named ‘Sulhu‘, he was born in 1995 and is the maknae of the group. Not only were netizens surprised at his age, but at his tall height of 188 cm as well. One commented, “Is he really a ‘95er? He looks too mature for it to be believable.”

A representative of Open World revealed, “Starting with maknae Sulhu, we’ll be unveiling the members one by one. We worked hard to bring out a different feel and charm to each of their photos.”

I'm definitely looking forward to their debut! Especially when two of this group's members was formerly from a trot trio that was pretty much underrated~ Their image here looks good. Perhaps a tinge of cliche but nonetheless worth anticipating for. OE's tactic here is really getting under my skin - the whole mysteriousness and take-my-own-sweet-time to reveal its members. Korean hip-hop artists unite for “Stand Up, Japan!”

Renowned indie hip-hop producer Nuol, Verbal Jint, Swings, Beenzino, Dead P, L.E.O, Baby Bu, Dawn and JYP Entertainment’s San E have teamed up to support the victims of the earthquake in Japan on March 11th through the song, “Stand Up, Japan!”

On April 6th “Stand Up, Japan!”, produced by Nuol, was released on various music sites as a digital single featuring an acapella and instrumental versions. The lyrics convey a positive message aimed to cheer the people of Japan and all the proceeds will be donated to Japan relief efforts.

Who remembers Click-B? For those of you that do, you are definitely true K-pop fans! After eight long years, this idol group will be making their comeback with a brand new single on April 13th.

Woo Yun Suk told Star News on the 6th, “On the 13th, we will release a two-track digital single, and we are planning to perform. The title track will have a light rock feel, and our personalities will be exposed through it.”

Yun Suk added, “First off, due to health issues and the members’ individual schedules, we had delays and we’d like to apologize for that. Also, Oh Jong Hyuk – our lead vocal – will be going to the military soon, so we won’t be able to make a lot of television appearances, but we do plan to hold a fan meeting as well as numerous other activities.”

Click-B first debuted back in 1999 with a self-titled album, gained lots of love in 2000, but disbanded shortly after in 2002, after members Noh Min Hyuk, Ha Hyun Gon, and Yoo Ho Suk quit the group. Furthermore, member Kim Sang Hyuk was involved in some unfortunate events.

It’s great to see them back – now all we need is some Sechskies, H.O.T, S.ES and Fin.K.L! Anyway, for those of you who are unfamiliar with Click-B, check out their hit track, “Hwan Young Moon” below!
